·To say the least, I believe Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island for the SNES is my favorite retro game of all time. It has it’s memories, fun, and story, and overall, I’d say that the gameplay mechanics are the greatest of the bunch. This game has many features for players to benefit from and take advantage of, like the different powerups, items, and abilities. He even can shoot eggs at enemies to beat them! The sprites and tiles also seemed good for the game’s time. The game uses the power of mode 7 on the SNES’s hardware to enhance the graphics and make squashing and stretching more realistic. I enjoyed the memorable music which was very good. The game itself is very long, and to 100% it, the post-game is very fulfilling, too, with secrets to unlock and levels to be played. With all of these facts in mind, it’s easy to say that Yoshi’s Island is my favorite retro game with 5 out of 5.

Pokemon Emerald is one of the greatest rpgs of its time. It had an interesting plot, fun gameplay, and wonderful post-game activities. Like any other Pokemon title, you capture pokemon, train them, beat the 8 gym leaders to fight the Elite Four, and fight the bad group of people who want to harm or do things that are not necessarily legal. In this one, you play as a boy or girl, train your pokemon to fight other trainers, and this time, there’s Team Aqua and Team Magma. These organizations want to create more sea or create more land, respectively. There’s silly dialogue to read, intense events happening, and many to do after your main adventure is over. After beating the Elite Four and saving Hoenn, you can rebattle all of Hoenn’s gym leaders, try to complete the battle frontier, make secret bases, train your pokemon for player-vs.-player matches, catch legendaries, complete the regular and universal pokedexes, and do pokemon contests among other things. The only thing that I’d say is bad about it is that you cannot access some events that would only happen at Nintendo events, such as the Birth Island Mew. Overall, though, this is a great game and I rate it 4.7 out of 5.

Jollybee’s
On this edition of DEOMS Newspaper, we have another food review. This is on the Filipino restaurant, Jollybee’s. This restaurant sells delicious burgers, crunchy fried chicken, and their main dish: spaghetti! They have a great, helpful staff, tasty, savory meals, and the greatest experience awaits there. From a fun family time to some of the greatest foods you’ll ever eat, it’s easy to agree with my ★★★★★★★★/★★★★★★★★ rating.
